2. Define Data Collection Details

  1. Select "Dataset" as Data Source
  2. Set the Data Collection Trigger, that is going to initiate updating information in a Metric
  3. Select Dataset & View that serves as a basis for Metric
  4. Select column with dates
  5. Set what to do with the data if there are several entries for the same date:
    • Sum – sum up all entries
    • Count – show the number of entries
    • Count Distinct – show the number of unique entries
    • Average – show the average value
    • Minimum – show minimal value
    • Maximum – show maximal value
  6. Select column with values
  7. Define either to Calculate Metric Values for new instances only (the system won’t recalculate data in old instances) or for all data
  8. Add filters to Metric. [+New Column Filter] and fill Column, Filter and Value fields in pop-up window
  9. [Check for Data] to see the total number of records in the Dataset and number of records that match set filters
  10. [Collect Data] to collect data from Dataset
  11. Define whether Data values are integer or decimal
  12. Select if the Values are additive across time periods (the column contains values that can be added, like amount) or not (the column contains values that can't be added, like temperature)
  13. Choose whether to Omit current day from Chart or not
  14. Select whether to Insert 0 for missing values (can alter results if "Average", "Minimal" or "Maximal" is selected in Aggregate using) or not
