How Is Content Distributed?
Content can be distributed by means of Notifications. Notification types are as follows:
Notification Types | Purpose | Contents | Customization | Channel |
---|---|---|---|---|
Burst | Sending selected Tiles to specific Users or Groups on a customizable schedule configured by a Burst owner. Recipients will receive only those Tiles to which they have access. |
Bursts have owners who controls what to send, to whom, and when |
Digest | Sending an overview of what has been changed/updated within a specified time period |
A User can specify if they want to receive Digests, what they want to receive in them, and when |
Alert | Notifying Users about changes or deviations in Metrics based on a specified Alert Rule and distributed immediately, in a Digest, or in Metric Viewer | Anything from within Metric Insights* | Alert Rules have an owner who controls Rule conditions and subscription lists. In most cases, Users can self-subscribe | For immediate Alerts:
*Alert content is independent of the Metric that it is measuring. An Alert can deliver a Report, a dashboard, a JavaScript chart, or any Element defined in Metric Insights, depending on the configuration.
