This function allows Users to change Glossary Terms that have already been associated with Elements or Datasets. You can merge several Glossary Terms into a single term on all Elements; replace one Glossary Term with another on all Elements; and optionally, delete the original Term from its assigned Section.
PREREQUISITES:
A Term (or multiple Terms) can be replaced with an existing Term from the list. Before proceeding, make sure the replacement Term has already been created.
1. Select Terms
Access Content > Glossary
- Select Term(s) to activate the [Replace] button.
- [Replace]
2. Replace Term(s)
- Term(s) to replace: Selected Terms will appear in this field. You are also able to manually enter Terms into this field by typing in a <Section:Term> name.
- Replace with: Select an existing Term from the dropdown menu.
- Delete Replaced Terms(s): This defaults to Unchecked, and Term will remain as-is. If it is selected, system will delete the Terms from these Sections entirely.
- [Replace]
A confirmation popup will appear, so click [Continue With Replacement].
Any Elements that displayed one of the selected Terms will now display the replacement Term.
