Looker Plugin Capabilities

Get Objects

Looker Plugin supports pulling the following object types:

  • ML Dashboard
  • LookML Dashboard
  • Element
  • Look

Get Data

By getting data in Metric Insights we mean the ability to create Datasets. Looker Plugin supports creating Datasets from:

  • Elements
  • Looks

Get Filters

The Plugin supports pulling Filters from all Looker objects to Metric Insights. Filters and Values can be added only individually. Users can apply Filters to External Reports and customize their display depending on input. There are some limitations on how Filters can be applied in MI:

  • in Viewer – both ML Dashbords and LookML Dashborads
  • Static Image and PDF – all Looker objects

Get Report Image

Looker Plugin supports getting image for:

  • ML Dashboards
  • LookML Dashboards
  • Elements
  • Looks

Looker Plugin supports getting PDF for:

  • ML Dashboards
  • LookML Dashboards

Embed in iFrame

Looker External Report can be embedded into the application (Show "In iFrame") or other HTML pages by using embed codes.

Support OAuth 2.0

Looker Plugin does not support OAuth 2.0.

Support Content Autosync

Looker Plugin does not support Content Autosync.

Capture Metadata

Metric Insights does not capture metadata for Looker Plugin.
