Create an External Report from Local Filesystem

This article describes how to collect images and create an External Report from the Local Filesystem.

PREREQUISITE:

Establish connectivity to Local Filesystem

1. Access New > External Report > Local Filesystem

  1. Category: specify the Category where the External Report will be placed
  2. Define whether you want Report content to be updated manually or automatically.
    • If you select Automatic Collection, define the following settings:
      • Specify the Report Image Trigger from the drop-down list
      • Choose the Plugin Connection Profile 
      • Report: Select a report available on the server
  3. [Next: Define Details]

2. Configure the Report

  1. Show Report in:
    • Viewer: the collected image will be shown in MI External Report Viewer
    • External Webpage: the webpage defined in the External report URL is shown
  2. Show: if the External Report is displayed in Viewer, it can be shown:
    • In Iframe
    • As static image
  3. The External Report URL: add an external link to your image.
    • If the External Report is shown in Viewer as static image, enter a whitespace character
  4. Save and Collect Image: click to create the preview and thumbnail images
  1. Once the preview and thumbnail images have been created, select [Enable & Publish] to View Report.

3. View the External Report

  1. In the External Report Editor, select [View]
  1. Based on your display settings, the Report will be shown either in an External Webpage or in the Metric Insights Viewer
