Prerequisites for Connecting to Amazon QuickSight

To be able to interact with Amazon QuickSight, the following parameters are required:

  • Access Key
  • Account ID
  • Region
  • Secret Key
  • User Name

User Name is essentially the user name that you use to log in to your Amazon QuickSight account.

Access Key and Secret Key can be obtained via IAM. Find official AWS documentation on how to manage access keys here. You must have Admin rights to manage access keys.
