Establish Connectivity to Ivanti Plugin

This article describes the process of creating a Plugin Data Source to connect to Ivanti. This Data Source will allow data from existing Ivanti objects to be used in building Elements using Metric Insights tools.

PREREQUISITES:

Generate and copy an Ivanti API Key. For more details about API Key creation, refer to this article.

1. Create New Data Source

Access Admin > Data Sources

  1. [+New Data Source]
  2. Choose "Ivanti" from the Plugin drop-down menu
  3. [Next]
  4. Data Source Name: Give the Data Source a descriptive name
  5. [Create]

2. Provide Required Parameters

  1. API Key: Insert the Ivanti API Key
  2. Server: Enter the connection address
  3. [Test Connection]

3. Setting Advanced Configuration

Generate Object List: Select how the data will be collected from the server:

  • "automatically": All reports are fetched by the system
    • Object List Refresh Trigger: Define when the data will be collected
  • "dataset": Reports are added from the previously created Dataset

4. Check the Objects List

Open Source Objects tab and [Refresh List]. After that you will see the list of available objects. [Save] to save the changes.
