Sync Alation Custom Fields with Metric Insights Glossary Terms
There is a way to sync Custom Fields from Alation with Glossary Terms in Metric Insights.
PREREQUISITES:
- Same Custom Fields must exist in Metric Insights
- A Dataset created from the Glossaries object
1. Sync Custom Fields with Glossary Terms
Access Admin > Reference Objects > Custom Fields > Autosync > +Custom Field Autosync
- Provide a descriptive Name
- Select a Dataset created from the Glossaries object
- Set Type to Glossary
- Select "Term" for Term Column
- Select "Section" for Section Column
- Map fields
- [Save]
- [Sync Now]

2. Verify Result
As a result, Custom Fields will be assigned to the corresponding Glossary Terms.
