Prerequisites for Connecting to Atlan

This article details on how to create a new API token in order to establish connectivity to Atlan.

1. Access Admin Center

Access Atlan

  1. Access Admin
  2. Access API tokens
  3. [Generate API token]

2. Create API Token

  1. Provide a descriptive Name
  2. Specify the Expiry period
  3. Add Personas for extended access
    • Find instructions on how to create Personas here
  4. [Save]
  5. [Download] or [Copy] the token value as it won't be available after you close the window
    • Use the value to fill in the corresponding field in Metric Insights
